Between those poles sit Rome at €3,607, Verona at €2,455, Naples at €2,443, Turin at €1,786 and Genoa at €1,373. Rome is the deepest market in our data, with 2,494 active apartment listings, while Milan follows with 1,393. These figures reflect what sellers are asking, not final sale prices, and they update as new listings arrive. Rome is Italy's deepest apartment market in our data, with 2,494 active for-sale listings and a median asking price of €3,607 per square metre. That places the capital second only to Milan, but well above the more affordable southern cities.
Naples shows a median asking price of €2,443 per square metre across 915 active for-sale listings, placing it just below Verona in our ranking. It is the most affordable of Italy's three largest cities by population in this snapshot.
Turin records a median asking price of €1,786 per square metre across 683 active for-sale listings. The Piedmont capital sits in the lower half of our Italian ranking, offering markedly better value than Milan, Rome, Verona and Naples.

How we calculate this
Each figure is the median asking price per square metre across active for-sale apartment listings on Landomo, calculated from the 7 July 2026 snapshot. We include only apartments sized between 15 and 500 m², trim outliers to the 5th–95th percentile band, and publish a city only when it has at least 200 active listings. Prices are in euros and reflect asking prices, not completed transactions.
